God-given> 8:46 AM.
Names are really important to a person. if you look in the bible, you'll know how important names are to people. Abram's name was changed to Abraham, father of many, in order to fulfill the promise God has given him.
i therefore have seeked to search for the meaning of my name, even though my mom says that she thought of my name last minute when she looked at the pearl necklace she was wearing -.-
it seems that pearls symbolyses things that are precious in the bible.
Jesus is saying do not give what is precious to people (pigs hahaha) who dont cannot appreciate it for they may trample on them and distroy it. incidentally, its part of my name!! means that im precious! i must remember to shunt away from people who will only bring harm to me!
Third mention of pearls in the Bible Matthew 13:45
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant
seeking fine pearls.”
Jesus said that the kingdom of God is as precious as pearls! amazing
“and upon
finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
i would like to say the jesus is the merchant, looking for pearls(me, great value :)) when he found me, he sold everyting (including his life) to pay for me. amen!
Fifth mention of pearls in the Bible I Timothy 2:9
“Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or
pearls or costly garments;”
Sixth mention of pearls in the Bible Revelations 17:4
“And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality,”
Seventh mention of pearls in the Bible Revelations 18:12
“cargoes of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood and every article of ivory and every article made from very costly wood and bronze and iron and marble,”
Eighth mention of pearls in the Bible Revelations 18:16
“Saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, she who was clothe in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls;..”
these versus just show how precious pearls are (i am :P)
lastly,
Ninth mention of pearls in the Bible Revelations 21:21
“And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” love this!!!
The pearl in Judeo-Christian recordings refer to the pearl as symbol of
Purity Harmony Humility St. Augustine... after realizing that the pearl was not among the gems which signified the twelve apostles...
...declared that the pearl was reserved in this manner by God for
Jesus Christ Himself
This idea makes a lot of sense, when one thinks of the correlation between these two verses:
John 10:9 "I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture." And:
Revelations 21:21 "And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: each one of the gates was a single pearl."
Jesus = door=Pearl gates of heaven
This fits well, as Jesus claimed to be the way into heaven...
John 14:6 "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no man
comes unto the Father, but through Me.
Yet another symbol for which the pearl is used is for
Heaven as in the following verse:
"The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls." Matthew 13:45
Since the PEARL, represents Jesus Christ himself...and Heaven,
it indeed also represents the:
ZENITH OF QUALITY AND GOOD TASTE.
hehheh
i believe that i will be like the pearl gate.. many people are gonna know christ through me and enter the kingdom of heaven!! hallelujah!
even though my mom may have chosen my name at random, but Jesus chose it for me! ive found so much more meaning to it xD
